Kompania që krijoi ChatGPT, OpenAI, ka bërë thirrje për rregullimin e politikave të inteligjencës artificiale, duke argumentuar se nevojitet të mbrohen njerëzit nga krijimi aksidental i diçkaje me fuqinë për të shkatërruar njerëzimin.
Në një shënim të shkurtër të publikuar në faqen e internetit të kompanisë, bashkëthemeluesit Greg Brockman dhe Ilya Sutskever dhe drejtori ekzekutiv, Sam Altman, bëjnë thirrje që një rregullator ndërkombëtar të fillojë “të kontrollojë sistemet, të kërkojë auditime, të testojë për përputhjen me standardet e sigurisë” në mënyrë që të zvogëlohet “rreziku ekzistencial” që mund të paraqesin sisteme të tilla.
“Është e imagjinueshme që brenda 10 viteve të ardhshme, sistemet e inteligjencës artificiale do të tejkalojnë nivelin e aftësive të ekspertëve në shumicën e fushave dhe do të kryejnë po aq aktivitet produktiv sa një nga korporatat më të mëdha sot,” shkruajnë ata.
Studiuesit kanë paralajmëruar për rreziqet e mundshme të superinteligjencës prej shumë dekadash. Rrezikun e përshkruajnë si “katastrofik” dhe “ekzistencial”, në kuptimin që njerëzimi mund të humbasë aftësinë për t’u vetëqeverisur dhe do të bëhet plotësisht i varur nga makineritë.
